Don't make a mistake! There are two places in France called PARNAC, one in the Lot district, and this one in the Indre district, in the province of Berry, in the south of the Region 'Centre', in the neighbourhood of Argenton-sur-Creuse and Chateauroux.

AU BON VIVRE is a village restaurant, right in the middle of a rural area for cattle breeding in the Bas-Berry, on the dividing line of the two parts of France of 'oye' and 'oc' language.Though there aren't any large notorious city to be found in the area and though the weather reports tend to jump from the Poitou to the Auvergne provinces without seeing us, PARNAC with its 750 inhabitants, its steeple and its restaurant does exist indeed... in the very heart of France.

Here are some photos as evidence!

Thank David and Teresa for a lovely evening chez vous in May with 'our' dear friend Frankie. You really offer the best of both worlds - a homely friendly English welcome with wonderful French cuisine - Fish n chips and crumble but French style and excellent.... and in a really unspoilt and pretty area of France. If you are reading this - do go and see for yourselves - I am sure you will agree. I wish I was there for one of the evenings with entertainment - perhaps another time. A bientot. Katie
